Synopsis / About
Eldridge
Logline:
While investigating the unexpected death of a horror movie director in a town of roadside attractions and tourist traps, five twenty-somethings uncover an ancient and cosmic evil.
After dropping out of college, Esteban is back in his horror movie-obsessed hometown…but something is cosmically, catastrophically amiss. Weird thing is, aside from his friends, no one else seems to notice. As the town goes increasingly off the rails and the end of the world looms, how will the friends face the inevitable? Is it truly inevitable? And if he hooks up with his ex, will it give him the wrong signal?
Exploring themes of identity and powerlessness, Eldridge evokes the daily confusion of finding your way to adulthood amidst a turbulent sea of conflicting voices, trolls, white noise and misinformation. When life’s mysteries begin to overwhelm us, can we learn to be comfortable with the concept of not knowing?
