A disgraced judge bumbles into a possible comeback involving an ambitious dance partner, a desperate TV director and a cutthroat producer when he accepts an invitation to the hit show, Stars with Dancing.
When a federal judge falls just short of cutting the mustard for the Supreme Court (thanks to an embarrassing sentencing decision earlier in his career), the only way to climb up from rock bottom is to trade his dignity for fame. And Hollywood is happy to cash that check when an unexpected invitation from Stars with Dancing, introduces him to a social-climber of a dance partner, a desperate director and a ruthless producer. But, at the end of the day, who’s really exploiting who?
A co-production with Feral Productions and with Poppy Gordon attached to direct, I Love My Dog combines the crowd-pleasing tropes of a comeback story with a dark satirical comedy edge to ask, “in a country where know-nothing politicians, war criminals and pedophiles get second chances, book deals and pundit jobs, where’s the breaking point?”
